Flagship building at University of Leeds to host LegalTech in Leeds annual conference

LegalTech in Leeds has announced it will be hosting the LegalTech in Leeds 2023 Conference at the University of Leeds’ new flagship building for Leeds University Business School and the School of Law – The Esther Simpson Building. The conference takes place on 26th April, and is expected to attract more than 250 people.

After the success of last year, the region’s second LegalTech in Leeds Conference promises to be bigger and better than ever, aiming to attract over 250 people, with a packed agenda of keynotes from regional and national thought-leaders, panel discussions that debate hot topics across the sector and a showcase of local success stories, shining a light on the hotbed of LegalTech activity across Leeds City Region. University of Leeds will host the 2023 Conference as part of its Strategic Partnership with LegalTech in Leeds. As a Strategic Partner of the initiative, University of Leeds will also be closely involved with the future planning of LegalTech in Leeds ongoing activity as well as sitting on the advisory board and being positioned as a key sponsor across other activity including the LegalTech in Leeds annual report.

The Esther Simpson Building is an innovative, high-tech teaching centre that provides world-class facilities that support participative learning and create an inspirational setting for staff and students.

Established in January 2022, LegalTech in Leeds is an initiative coordinated by Whitecap Consulting to develop a LegalTech community in the Leeds City Region. It aims to bring together the legal and tech sectors in Leeds, with three core objectives: help facilitate the digital transformation of the legal sector; support tech entrepreneurs seeking to engage with the legal sector; and enhance access to legal services for consumers and businesses in the region.

Running as an ongoing annual programme of activity, LegalTech in Leeds hosts regular events including seminars, networking drinks and learning lunches as well as other activity including an annual report and an advisory board who meet monthly to discuss future developments of the initiative.
